Sewing is an Art that should be share, learned and enjoyed by everyone no matter the age or gender..

I love to sew.  I love to create and make something mine. I started sewing when I was a little girl.  My grandmother would let us help her cut squares for her quilts, lay them out and as we got older help quilt and tie them.  She encouraged us to make our own quilts. At home I would get into my mother's sewing drawers and find scrapes and hand sew clothes on my Barbie's.  As I got older I took classes at school and began to alter and sew my prom dresses. Now that I am a mother and have four girls and one son of my own I have been sharing my love of sewing with each of them.  Before my daughters turned 8 we sewed a special dress together and they have their first sewing lessons with me. My daughters as they have gotten to their teens now hem their pants (We are short at our house), sew their formal dresses for school events and even some school projects. My son loved having his sisters sew for him and after many custom orders he can sew for himself. His favorite projects have been cargo shorts and Minecraft pillows.
